Vietnam has a consistent policy of "not sacrificing progress, social justice and the environment to pursue economic growth alone", along with a strong commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, raising the share of renewable energy to over 30% of the total primary energy supply and the stable forest coverage rate to 43%.
To achieve the above goal, there is a lot of work to be done, in which priority is given to sustainable green economic development.
According to the updated Global Green Economy Index report in 2024, Vietnam ranks 79th out of 160 countries in the green economic index. To be upgraded and enter the top "top" of green economically developed countries, there needs to be a strong reform, from policy design, business efforts and changes in public awareness.
The enterprise produces products from clean energy and renewable energy. Technology production saves resources, minimizing negative impacts on the environment and the risk of ecosystem change. Getting rich while harming the environment and negatively affecting human health is unfair.
To switch to green production models and methods, businesses must invest heavily in intellectual goods and finance. In particular, the development of domestic science and technology will help businesses be more proactive and economical in the transformation process, less dependent on technology from other countries.
Domestic enterprises must change, first of all, protect the environment and sustainable development of their own country, protect the health of their people. Clean products, clean foods, and clean vegetables must replace the types of health poisoning that have been around for a long time. The green economy that brings prosperity to people is the creation of clean and environmentally friendly products, of which food is just an example.
To contribute to the development of a green economy and reduce emissions, people also proactively greense their lifestyle. There are very simple things such as limiting the use of plastic bags and disposable plastic items, not littering, choosing to ride bicycles or electric vehicles instead of gasoline or public vehicles instead of personal vehicles, but not many people can do it.
Many people still like to use furniture made from precious wood and consider it luxury. Many people like to eat meat of wild animals, even animals in the red book, and think that is trendy.
Let's change to protect nature, protect ourselves.
