The Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) has just issued a decision to sanction administrative violations against BB Vietnam Trading and Service Co., Ltd. for trading cosmetics without or without presenting Product Information Files (PIF) as prescribed when functional agencies request inspection. The total fine applied is 75 million VND.
According to the decision, the sanctioned enterprise is located on the 9th floor, Diamond Flower building, No. 48 Le Van Luong, Yen Hoa ward, Hanoi. The legal representative is Mr. Le Viet Nam, Director of the company.
Functional agencies determined that the company had committed violations in cosmetic business activities when it did not have or did not present a Product Information Dossier within the time limit prescribed by law. This is a mandatory dossier to prove the origin, ingredients, safety and legality of cosmetic products circulating on the market.
Notably, the case has aggravating circumstances due to the simultaneous inspection of 37 cosmetic products violating the same act. On that basis, the fine was determined to be 75 million VND for the violating organization.

In addition to fines, the Drug Administration of Vietnam also applied remedial measures including forcing the recall and destruction of all 37 cosmetic products declared under the company's name. At the same time, the enterprise must coordinate with relevant units to carry out the recall, destruction and report the results to the Drug Administration of Vietnam within 30 days from the date of issuance of the decision.
The list of processed products includes many familiar brands on the market such as Hatomugi, Rosette, Naturie, Anessa, Skin Aqua, Senka, Shiseido, Hada Labo, Aqua Label... with skin care product lines, sunscreen, facial cleansers, creams and lotions.
According to the decision, BB Vietnam Company must pay the fine within 10 days from the date of receiving the sanctioning decision. In case of non-willing compliance, the enterprise may be subject to enforcement according to the provisions of law. The Company also has the right to complain or file an administrative lawsuit against this decision.
The case continues to show that management agencies are tightening post-inspection work for the cosmetics market, especially the responsibility to preserve legal records and product quality records of businesses that put cosmetics on the market. This is considered a measure to protect consumer rights and increase transparency in cosmetic business activities in Vietnam.
