According to Dr. Megha Jain, hormonology and metabolism expert at Max Super Speciality Hospital (India): Facial fat cannot be reduced separately if it only depends on diet or beauty treatments. That is the result of the synthesis of lifestyle, genetics and hormonal conditions". However, she also emphasized that facial exercises are a useful tool to improve blood circulation, replenish facial muscles, and contribute to shaping the sharper jawline.
Here are 5 simple exercises at home to help you improve facial fat if you persistently do it:
chin raises: Helps to chase the neck and chin, prevent sagging. Just back your head, hold your mouth, tighten your neck and hold for 5 seconds, repeat 10-15 times a day.
Fish face: Smiley and cheek your cheeks, this move helps burn fat in the cheek area and increase elasticity, hold for 20 seconds, do 5 reps.
eyebrows: This exercise not only chases the forehead muscles but also reduces wrinkles in the between eyebrows. Use your two fingers to gently lift your eyebrows up and down for 30 seconds, 3 sets.
Exfoliation: It feels simple, but proper exfoliation helps activate the entire muscle group around the cheeks, jaw and chin. Take a deep breath, swell your cheeks, hold your breath and move the air between your cheeks.
Chewing sugar-free gum: A passive but effective exercise in moving the jaw, reducing fat and improving jawline. Chew for 15-20 minutes, twice a day.
Dr. Megha Jain notes: Although exercises help improve facial shape, they cannot replace whole-body weight control, healthy eating, and adequate sleep. Beauty does not come from makeup, but from the persistent changes in daily living habits".
