On July 10, Hanoi City Police had information related to the factory fire in Quang Minh Industrial Park (Quang Minh commune, Hanoi city).
Accordingly, at 10:48 PM on July 9th, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center received a report of a fire at a factory in Quang Minh Industrial Park.
Recognizing that the fire was likely to develop and spread to neighboring factories, the City Police Command Information Center urgently dispatched the Fire and Rescue Police Team No. 3, 21 and 22 under the Fire and Rescue Police Department, with 4 fire trucks, 2 tanker trucks, 1 fire command vehicle and nearly 40 officers and soldiers quickly to the scene.
At the same time, leaders of the Fire and Rescue Police Department of the City Police mobilized 2 more command vehicles and 1 truck carrying vehicles to directly go to the scene to direct fire fighting and rescue work.
The area where the fire occurred is a workshop leased by Hanoi Electrical Equipment and Transformer Manufacturing Joint Stock Company to serve the production of transformers, with an area of about 2,964m2.
As soon as they approached the scene, through reconnaissance work, functional forces determined that there were no victims. However, the fire was at risk of spreading to the entire factory and adjacent works. The fire commander directed units to urgently exploit water sources, deploy many attacks, cordon off areas, prevent fire from spreading and focus on extinguishing the fire.
Along with that, the Fire and Rescue Police force coordinated with local authorities to mobilize excavators to dismantle components and open access to the fire area. Commune police, forces participating in protecting social order and safety at the grassroots level and militia forces coordinated to ensure security and order in the area where the incident occurred.
The Commander of the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police directly directed the firefighting work at the scene.
After more than an hour of firefighting efforts, at about 11:50 pm on the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.
Functional forces have safely protected about 2,900m2 of workshops, and at the same time prevented the fire from spreading to the adjacent workshop area with an area of nearly 2,500m2 of Son 5M Joint Stock Company.
The fire did not cause any casualties.
The cause and damage to property are being statistically analyzed, investigated, and clarified by functional agencies.
