Eating eggs properly in the summer to ensure health safety

Eggs are a nutritious food and can be used in the summer, but proper storage and processing are very important to ensure health safety.

Eggs provide high-quality protein and many essential amino acids. In addition, eggs also contain vitamin B12, vitamin D, choline and many important minerals, supporting muscle development, brain activity, vision and maintaining a reasonable weight.

However, in the summer, many people still limit eating eggs because they believe that this food can increase body temperature or affect the digestive system.

According to Ms. Kiran Verma - clinical nutritionist at Regency Health Hospital (Lucknow, India), eggs can still be used in the summer if eaten in appropriate amounts and stored properly. Experts say that eggs provide many essential nutrients for the body and are not the cause of increased body temperature as many people fear.

What is noteworthy is not eggs but the way they are preserved and processed. In hot weather, eggs left at high temperatures for a long time can increase the risk of infection, thereby easily causing digestive disorders. Therefore, eggs need to be refrigerated and cooked thoroughly before use.

Experts also recommend that consumers choose fresh eggs that are not cracked and have no abnormal signs of smell or color. Before using, it is necessary to carefully check the quality to ensure food safety.

Regarding dosage, for healthy people, consuming about one to two eggs per day is considered suitable in a balanced diet. Eggs can also help create a feeling of fullness for a long time, suitable for breakfast or a summer snack.

To increase nutritional efficiency in the hot season, eggs should be combined with watery foods such as green vegetables, fruits and need to drink enough water to maintain body balance. In addition, people with underlying conditions or a special diet should consult a medical professional before adjusting their diet.

Some nutrition studies in the United States, including documents from the Harvard School of Public Health, show that eggs contain lutein and zeaxanthin that are beneficial for eye health, along with choline that supports brain activity. In addition, a large egg provides about 6g of protein, 72 calories, along with vitamins A and D, meeting the daily nutritional needs of the body.

Eggs are still a nutritious food and can be used in the summer. However, to ensure safety for health, it is necessary to eat them in appropriate amounts, cook them thoroughly and store them properly.
