Having been attached to the medical industry for many years, Dr. Bui Sy Tuan Anh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Transport Hospital - always believes that doctors must not only treat diseases but also constantly learn, research and apply scientific advances to bring practical benefits to patients.
In this position, Dr. Tuan Anh has drastically directed the innovation of management work in a professional, streamlined and transparent direction.
Innovations in management quickly brought positive results. In 2025, the hospital's revenue reached from 130% to 150% compared to the set targets.
In parallel with management work, Dr. Bui Sy Tuan Anh still directly undertakes professional duties as Head of General Surgery Department. He is the person who directly performs and directs the implementation of many difficult surgical techniques such as laparoscopic surgery to treat colorectal cancer, stomach cancer, esophageal cancer, liver rupture surgery, kidney coral stones treatment and many other complex diseases.
In particular, Dr. Tuan Anh is a pioneer in applying modern minimally invasive techniques such as minimally invasive percutaneous kidney stone removal (Mini-PCNL) and kidney stone removal using a soft-tube retrograde urethral analyzer. These are techniques that help improve treatment effectiveness, reduce pain, reduce complications and shorten recovery time for patients.
One of the outstanding highlights of Dr. Bui Sy Tuan Anh is the topic "Evaluating the results of percutaneous kidney stone removal surgery with minimally invasive surgery (Mini-PCNL) under the guidance of cameras at Transport Hospital", recognized and announced by the Scientific Council of Transport Hospital at the National Urology Conference (VUNA 2024).
This technique has completely replaced the traditional open surgery method for large kidney stones and complex coral stones. Patients enjoy many benefits when the rate of stone cleanliness is high, minimizing the risk of bleeding and post-operative infection. In particular, the hospital stay is shortened from 7-10 days to 2-3 days, contributing to a significant reduction in treatment costs and reducing pressure on the health system.
In the field of scientific research, Dr. Bui Sy Tuan Anh is also the author of the topic "Research on the impact of iron supplementation after blood donation in Vietnam: Effects on hemoglobin and iron reserves", published in the Romanian Medical Journal in 2024.
The study has provided important scientific evidence of blood and iron deficiency in voluntary blood donors, thereby proposing appropriate iron supplementation procedures to protect the health of blood donors, contributing to improving the quality of blood sources and affirming the position of Vietnamese medicine through international publications.
Not only dedicated to his profession, doctor Tuan Anh also always pays attention to the lives of officials and medical staff. He closely coordinates with the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union to organize many activities to care for workers such as visits, gifts, cultural and sports activities, sightseeing, vacations; and at the same time build a friendly, united working environment and encourage creativity.
In particular, he focused on developing high-quality human resources through many soft skills and specialized technical training programs, creating conditions for medical staff to access new achievements of modern medicine.
From difficult surgeries, practical research projects to innovations in hospital management and care for workers, Dr. Bui Sy Tuan Anh has proven that the spirit of "Good Labor, Creative Labor" is not only expressed in technical initiatives but also spread by responsibility, dedication and aspiration to contribute.
