Balance is the foundation of many activities. Without balance, even simple movements of the body can become dangerous, increasing the risk of falls, injuries and problems with long-term mobility.
Balance can be checked and practiced. This 60-second challenge is a simple way to assess your level of balance.
Stand bare feet on the floor or mat. Place your hands on your hips and lift one leg off the ground, bending your knees 90 degrees. Close your eyes and start counting time. Hold the pose for 60 seconds without jumping over the stove, shaking excessively or placing your feet down.
The result is achieved when you hold the balance for 60 seconds without losing the balance. Results are not achieved when the feet touch the ground, waver too much or have to open your eyes 60 seconds in advance.
If you have difficulty with the test, this is an opportunity to improve your body's balance. Incorporating balancing exercises into your routine can increase stability and coordination in movements. With regular practice, balance can be significantly improved.
