On September 18, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Dang Giap - Director of the Central Highlands General Hospital said: "The unit is preparing a report to the Dak Lak Department of Health. We were asked by the leaders of the Department of Health to report in detail about the incident. Specific information will be responded to the press later".
Mr. Nay Phi La - Director of the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health said: "This is a very serious incident. The inspection team of the Department of Health discovered the incident. The police have also grasped the information and are taking action to handle it."
"Today, we will have a detailed response to press agencies about the incident that occurred at the Central Highlands General Hospital," Mr. La added.
According to the investigation, the Central Highlands General Hospital only has one stone laser machine and this device has been determined to be broken since November 2023.
However, the unusual thing is that since then, the unit has recorded nearly 500 patients having kidney stones.
