Exploiting medical history, the child had a high fever for 2 consecutive days, little coughing of the runny nose, and diarrhea twice, and was examined at a private hospital and diagnosed with upper respiratory infection and digestive disorders.
On the third day, the child had less fever but stopped feeding, was tired, had cold hands and feet, and had bloated skin. The family took the child to the City Children's Hospital.
Test results showed that the NS1 antigen rapid test was positive, red blood cell capacity increased, liver enzymes increased. The child was diagnosed with severe dengue shock syndrome and was treated with active anti-shock according to the protocol.
During treatment, the child had skin lilies, black brown discharge, and many bright spots. The child was continued with anti-shock fluids with high-molecular solutions, blood transfusion, cold-fried fresh, frozen huyet tuong, thickened platelets, and 10% albumin infusion. At the same time, treat with liver support, respiratory support, oxygen, CPAP, non-invasive ventilation, and endotracheal placement.
However, respiratory failure continued to progress, with a tight abdomen and increased bladder pressure. The child was examined for abdominal drainage to relieve the pressure.
After nearly 10 days of treatment, the patient's blood, respiratory and liver damage improved. The child was taken off the ventilator, alert, suckled well, and urinated well.

Therefore, it is necessary to take children to a medical facility with a Pediatric department for examination and testing, accurately determining the disease.
