On November 7, Ho Chi Minh City Children's Hospital 1 informed that the unit had just received a male student (13 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) in a state of shock, purple, lung contusion, and serious multiple injuries due to a fall from the 3rd floor of the school.
The results of the examination and CT scan showed that the child had bilateral emphysema, cerebral hemorrhage, abdominal fluid and right kidney injury. The child was actively resuscitated, on a ventilator, given a drug delivery, anti-shock fluids and blood transfusions.
The patient's condition is currently very serious and is being closely monitored by doctors. Depending on the progress, the treatment team will consider additional interventions such as treating cerebral hemorrhage if it increases, or continuing to conduct lung circulation to resolve airflow and support breathing.
