Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Tran Quang Phap - Deputy Director of Hospital 199 - expressed his joy at welcoming the delegation to work.
He added that today's working session and signing of the memorandum of understanding will open up many opportunities for both parties to support each other in improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, training human resources, updating new knowledge, exchanging professional expertise, etc. Furthermore, it affirms the traditional solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany.

Kratsch - Head of Economic Development Division, Leipzig City - said: "Leipzig City is considered a city of medicine and also an industrial city, so the demand for human resources in the medical field is very high. Therefore, we are very happy to cooperate with you in the fields of training and medicine".
After discussions and exchanges on related issues, the parties reached an agreement and signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in a number of areas, namely:
The city of Leipzig will support and help Hospital 199 develop the Rehabilitation sector; Build and develop the Sports Medicine sector; Build and develop the nursing sector... With the participation of many units such as St. Georg Hospital, Apelos, Eisenmoobad Bad Schmiedeberg, Centre Tim Leipzg, Uni Klinik... In addition, Leipzig will help Hospital 199 have a modern medical foundation and capacity, serving with higher quality.
In the opposite direction, Hospital 199 will coordinate with Vietnam College of Medical Technology to proactively coordinate with Leipzig city in recruiting and training nurses; Introduce and provide nurses to medical facilities in Leipzig city and possibly to all facilities in the state of Saxony and Germany.
In addition, depending on the needs, Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology is responsible for coordinating training and providing other skilled labor forces for Leipzig city such as in the fields of restaurants - hotels, construction, industry, etc.
The signatories expressed their belief that the agreement will contribute positively to strengthening and cooperating in the medical field in particular and enhancing the friendship between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany in general.
