Da Nang Hospital improves emergency patient care capacity

On the morning of September 24, Da Nang Hospital in collaboration with Mayo Clinic (USA) organized the opening ceremony of the International Conference on Improving Emergency Capacity of Da Nang Hospital Expansion 2024.

The conference was held on September 23 and 24 to create opportunities for domestic and international doctors to connect, exchange information, share experiences, update and apply new techniques and scientific research projects to serve emergency work at medical facilities.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Le Duc Nhan - Director of Da Nang Hospital said that this conference was attended by more than 300 delegates from Da Nang Hospital, universities and hospitals in the city. Of which, nearly 100 delegates were doctors and nurses from satellite hospitals of Da Nang Hospital.

This is an opportunity for medical staff at the facilities to update new knowledge, the most modern and effective emergency methods. This will help them be more confident in handling emergency situations, ensuring that patients always receive the best care, right from the first moments.

"Within the framework of the conference, we will learn from leading experts from the Mayo Clinic in the United States. These are experts with extensive experience in the field of emergency medicine, and I am confident that the knowledge and skills they bring will help us improve the effectiveness of emergency care and the quality of health care at medical facilities in Da Nang City and neighboring areas," said Dr. Le Duc Nhan.

Previously, on September 23, at the pre-conference training session, trainees had in-depth practice with 4 important emergency skills including: advanced cardiac arrest resuscitation skills, airway management in emergency, emergency echocardiography, and FAST ultrasound.

Within the framework of the conference, the delegation of Mayo Clinic, USA, consisting of 36 members from specialties such as emergency, neurology, hematology and blood transfusion, diagnostic imaging, microbiology, dermatology, respiratory medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, etc. will visit Da Nang Hospital, share professional experience and future development cooperation orientation, from September 23 to 27.
