Military Hospital 175 put into operation 1,000 new hospital beds

HCMC - On May 26, Military Hospital 175 inaugurated the 1,000-bed general hospital project, helping to reduce the burden on down-line hospitals.

The new general hospital building of Military Hospital 175 has a total investment of VND2,500 billion, including 9 floors above ground and 1 basement with a total floor area of over 119,000 m2. The project is designed in a comprehensive, modern, and synchronous manner, meeting the requirements of high-quality medical examination and treatment for about 5,000 - 6,000 patients per day, inpatient treatment for 1,800 - 2,000 people and receiving emergency care for about 300 cases/day.

The outstanding infrastructure system of the project includes: 47 clinics with scientific arrangements; 18 modern operating rooms; emergency resuscitation area directly connected to the helicopter landing ground on the roof of the building, ensuring golden time for emergency care. The hospital is also equipped with advanced equipment such as CT 1,975 sliced machine, MRI 3 Tesla, German technology centers disinfection system, electronic electronic electronic model transportation system Telelift.

The parking lot has an area of 8,400m2, with a capacity of nearly 1,600 vehicles, designed for dual use and can be converted into a field hospital or emergency area in emergency situations.

In particular, putting 1,000 beds into operation will help reduce overload in current HCMC end-line hospitals.
