On May 29, Dr. Nguyen Trong Khoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management - Ministry of Health signed a document to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health requesting urgent verification of the case of a female patient residing in Nong Cong district who died at a private clinic in Thanh Hoa City.
According to the reflection, the patient went to the Forensic Clinic, address 69 Le Thanh Tong, Dong Ve Ward, Thanh Hoa City for examination and died there. In response to this serious incident, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requested the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health to inspect and verify the entire medical examination and treatment process of the above clinic.
In particular, in cases where the clinic is found to be violating professional procedures, or exceeding the licensed scope of operations, the Department proposes to strictly handle them according to current regulations. At the same time, the Department also requested a review of private medical examination and treatment facilities in the area to ensure the safety of people.
The Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health is assigned to urgently report the verification results in writing to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management before June 6, 2025 for synthesis and reporting to the leaders of the Ministry of Health.
According to initial information, on May 28, Ms. L.T.L (born in 1959, residing in Minh Nghia commune, Nong Cong district, Thanh Hoa province) went to the Forensic Clinic at 69 Le Thanh Tong street, Dong Ve ward, Thanh Hoa city to perform a collarbone surgery.
However, early in the afternoon of the same day, the family suddenly received news that Ms. L had died at the clinic. Immediately afterwards, the functional forces of Dong Ve ward and professional units of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police were present at the scene to investigate.
The victim's family said that Mrs. L had previously visited her son, but when she returned, she unfortunately fell off her motorbike and broke her collarbone. After being examined at the hospital, she was transferred to a clinic for surgery and had a heartbreaking incident.
