According to storm news, the latest low pressure from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that a low pressure area, coded LPA 09d, is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours.
According to PAGASA, at 2:00 AM on September 14 (Philippines time), LPA 09d was located about 3,265km east of Visayas. This is a weather system being monitored by the Philippine meteorological agency as it is likely to continue to develop in the near future.
Meanwhile, the easterly wind will bring more clouds and scattered rain in the northernmost part of Luzon Island.
In Batanes and the Babuyan Islands, it is forecast to be cloudy at times, accompanied by showers or scattered thunderstorms due to the influence of easterly winds. PAGASA warns of flash floods or landslides that may occur during strong thunderstorms.
In Manila and the rest of the Philippines, it is cloudy at times, with showers or scattered thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. PAGASA also warned of the risk of flash floods and landslides in areas with strong thunderstorms.
Regarding wind and sea conditions, Luzon is forecast to have light to moderate winds, moving northeast to northwest. The sea area around the island has light to moderate waves.
In Visayas and Mindanao, winds are forecast to be light to moderate, moving northwest to southwest, while the sea area also has light to moderate waves.
