Eggs are not the peak of protein
Chicken eggs contain about 6.3 grams of protein per fruit, it cannot be denied that this is a valuable source of nutrients, especially for people who eat healthy or exercise. However, according to Dr. Sohaib Imtiaz, a nutritionist in the UK, currently working with the British Institute of British Lifestyle Medicine: There are many other foods that even provide more protein than eggs, but have specific health benefits.
Among them, chicken breast leads with about 22.5g of protein/100g, not only complete protein but also low in fat, sodium and calories. Next are canned tuna (21.7g/100g) and salmon (20.3g/100g), rich options for omega-3, good for the heart and brain.
Notably, Greek yogurt also surpasses eggs with 16.1g of protein in each small box, thanks to careful filtering, eliminating excess water. This is an ideal choice for a quick, compact, and nutritious breakfast.
Plant sources
Not only animals provide superior protein. Plant sources such as soybeans (edamame) provide 18.4g of protein per cup, a not-so-small number. This is also a complete protein, suitable for vegetarians or vegan.
In addition, quinoa contains about 8.1g of protein/ cup along with powerful anti-inflammatory compounds such as fr frogempferol and quercetin. Not only does quinoa provide essential amino acids, it also helps control weight and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
If you like snacks, almonds (7.6g protein/2 oz) and peanut butter (7.1g/2 tablespoons) are both convenient and nutritious choices. They provide healthy monounsaturated fats, which are heart-healthy and skin-healthy.
Don't ignore red meat and black beans
Beef and lean pork also provide more than 20g of protein/100g, and are also rich sources of vitamin B12, zinc and iron, important nutrients for the blood and nervous system. Meanwhile, black beans contain nearly 7g of protein/100g, are rich in fiber and are very suitable for a nutritious vegetarian meal.
Dr. Imtiaz adds: It is important to choose a variety of protein sources so that the body can get enough essential amino acids and nutrients. Not just eating a lot of eggs is good."
