According to research published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology, ginger contains gingerol compounds that reduce inflammation and inhibit some types of bacteria that cause respiratory infections. In addition, a report by the National Center for Complementary and integrative Health (NCCIH) shows that ginger has the ability to soothe the throat lining and reduce burning itching, helping to limit coughs.

When the water is still warm (not too hot), add honey and stir well.
Add lemon juice to enhance flavor and antibacterial effects.

How to use:
Drink 12 teaspoons at a time, 2-3 times a day.
Can be mixed with warm water to drink easier and soothe the throat faster.
