Hemodialysis opens up hope for patients in remote areas of Lam Dong

Lam Dong - The hemodialysis unit at Di Linh Regional Medical Center has just gone into operation, meeting the treatment needs of grassroots patients.

On the morning of April 5, the Di Linh Regional Health Center (Lam Dong) said that the unit had just announced and put into operation the Hemodialysis Unit.

Thereby, marking an important step forward in improving the capacity of medical examination and treatment, especially the treatment of chronic kidney diseases right at the grassroots level.

Doctor Le Thanh Quang, Director of Di Linh Regional Medical Center, said that putting the Artificial Kidney Unit into operation will help patients with chronic kidney failure to be treated right in the locality.

Currently, the Di Linh area has 7 communes including: Di Linh, Hoa Ninh, Hoa Bac, Dinh Trang Thuong, Son Dien, Bao Thuan and Gia Hiep.

Putting the Artificial Kidney Unit into operation will create favorable conditions for patients with chronic kidney failure to access timely treatment, right in the locality.

Thereby, helping to reduce travel and living costs for patients; and at the same time contributing to reducing the burden on upper-level medical facilities.

This is also the center's effort to gradually improve the quality of health services, meeting the increasing healthcare needs of the people.

The hemodialysis unit at Di Linh Regional Medical Center is currently equipped with 5 modern dialysis machines, operating synchronously according to the standards of the Ministry of Health, capable of serving about 10 patients per day.

The team of doctors, nurses, and nurses has been deeply trained, receiving technical transfer from Lam Dong General Hospital, ready to effectively deploy blood filtration cases for patients.
