HCMC - Phu My Ward People's Committee has worked with a bread selling establishment suspected of causing poisoning, determining that this unit sells about 800 cakes per day.

On December 22, the People's Committee of Phu My Ward (HCMC) said that, in response to information that many people were suspected of food poisoning due to eating bread at a facility in the area, the local government came to work with the facility and initially recorded it.

Currently, Ba Ria General Hospital said it has received and treated 42 cases of food poisoning. In addition, through screening, Phu My Ward People's Committee recorded about 43 cases with symptoms of food poisoning treated at Phu My Medical Center and a number of clinics in the area.

On the afternoon of December 21, the interdisciplinary team worked with the N.H bakery to verify and clarify. Thereby, it is recorded that this establishment has 2 business locations and 1 warehouse, an average of 2 locations for a total of about 800 loafers of bread per day.

The team has recorded the current situation, sealed the food refrigerator, and requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety to support the investigation and take samples for testing according to regulations.

At the same time, direct functional units to continue monitoring and updating the situation of disease incidents, coordinate with the Department of Health and the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene to carry out professional tasks as required.
