On February 22, while adults were careless, the baby swallowed a quantity of fragrant oil used in the house. A few minutes later, the child coughed continuously, vomited and showed signs of shortness of breath, so he was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Doctors of the Department of Pediatrics (University Medical Center Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai) quickly handled the initial treatment, supported respiration and closely monitored vital signs, and performed necessary tests.
Initial results recorded that the child suffered from respiratory failure, inhaled pneumonia, and fragrant oil poisoning. Up to now, the health condition has stabilized and he has been discharged from the hospital after 2 days of treatment.
