According to initial information, around noon on April 11, the 115 Emergency Center received an emergency call about a male tourist of Kazakhstan nationality who had a traffic accident at Luong Son Pass.
The victim suffered complex injuries in the chest area, bleeding profusely, posing a life-threatening risk. Immediately after receiving the information, the unit's team departed to the scene.
In just about 10 minutes, the emergency force approached patient I.K (25 years old).
Through a quick examination, the team determined that the patient had closed chest trauma accompanied by a penetrating chest wound, a wide-area muscle tear in the chest area, and a potential risk of internal organ damage.
At the scene, medical staff performed pain relief, blood suppression bandages, initial stabilization and quickly transported the patient to the Emergency Department, Khanh Hoa General Hospital.
At the hospital, the patient was examined, performed necessary tests and consulted with the Thoracic Surgery specialist and related specialists. After that, the patient underwent emergency surgery and was out of danger.
Currently, the patient's health is gradually stabilizing, and he can have light activities.
