On May 17, the Domestic Market Management and Development Department issued a document requesting the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department to consider and resolve the reflection that TikToker Vo Ha Linh has signs of selling at a wholesale price.
Previously, the livestream session of TikToker Vo Ha Linh on the evening of May 15 was reported to have unusually deep price reductions, selling products at much lower prices than market prices.
In March, the Vietnam Consumer Protection Association (VICOPRO) also sent a document to the authorities requesting consideration of sales and livestreaming activities of KOL ( influencer), KOC (consulent with influence), including the case of TikToker Vo Ha Linh.
Vo Ha Linh was caught up in many mixed opinions when she continuously sold goods at low prices, leading to negative impacts on business operations and prices in the market.
On the evening of March 30, Ha Linh posted on her personal page affirming her commitment to transparency in livestream sales activities on e-commerce platforms and always putting the interests of consumers first.
Vo Ha Linh was born in 1990 and is one of the famous TikTokers, best known for his affiliate marketing activities (Affiliate Marketing) on social networks. Thanks to the trial videos and product introductions, she was known as " review war god" and "livestream war god".
Currently, her TikTok channel has 5.7 million followers, her YouTube channel has 2.2 million subscribers.
She directly works with e-commerce platforms, playing the role of introducing potential customers to those platforms through shopping leads. Therefore, the brand has no right to influence the video content.
Ha Linh also said that most of the review products were bought by her to experience. However, sometimes harsh comments caused her to encounter many scandals and mixed opinions.
According to statistics from a market research company, in the livestream session in October 2024, Vo Ha Linh's TikTok channel led in terms of reach with a total of 3.7 million views even though the livestream only took place in less than 1 hour and 30 minutes.
According to an estimate from Social Blade, Vo Ha Linh's YouTube channel can earn from 3,300 - 52,400 USD (77.4 million - more than 1.2 billion VND) per month. The amount of money she can bring in each year from her personal YouTube can be up to more than 14.7 billion VND.
This TikToker also revealed that it had reached 1 million orders after about an hour of livestreaming in November 2024.
