On September 12, An Khe Ward People's Committee reported on the food poisoning situation in the area to Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for consideration and direction.
Accordingly, An Khe ward issued Official Dispatch No. 186/TTr-UBND, requesting the Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee to consider and issue a decision to sanction administrative violations against Bin Bin Business Household.
An Khe Ward proposed a total fine of 100 million VND, suspending all production, processing, business, and food supply activities for 4 months. At the same time, forcing the recall and destruction of violating food; forcing Bin Bin business household to pay all costs of food poisoning treatment, examination and treatment for 254 people with food poisoning.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health has tested 11 samples of food ingredients taken at Bin Bin Business Household (An Khe ward), detecting Salmonella spp. bacteria in 3 food samples.
Previously, An Khe Ward Health Station took 11 samples of food ingredients still stored at Bin Bin Business Household, including: pate, floss, dried chicken, braised pork, spring rolls and cold cuts, fried fish cakes, egg butter sauce, cucumber, herbs...
Through the above results, functional agencies concluded that this was a food poisoning case, the cause of poisoning was food contaminated with Salmonella spp bacteria.
In the period from August 23 to August 24, 2026, An Khe Medical Center recorded many cases of people buying mixed bread at Bin Bin Business Household to use and showing symptoms of suspected poisoning.
Patients successively showed symptoms such as abdominal cramps, diarrhea, vomiting many times, fever and sporadically came to An Khe Medical Center for treatment.
A total of 254 patients came for examination and treatment with suspected symptoms of food poisoning such as abdominal pain, vomiting, fatigue... By 1:00 PM on September 3, 2026, all 254/254 cases had been treated stably and discharged from the hospital, with no deaths recorded.
