On April 4, at Dien Bien Provincial General Hospital, doctors and nurses are making efforts to focus on emergency care for 3 people who were severely burned while participating in fighting a forest fire in Na Sang border commune that occurred on the afternoon of April 3.
Mr. Pham Giang Nam - Director of Dien Bien Department of Health visited and encouraged patients and family members.
Inspecting the emergency work, Mr. Pham Giang Nam requested to mobilize maximum manpower, equipment, medicine, and urgently complete procedures to transfer to higher levels, in order to access specialized treatment techniques as soon as possible.
The Director of the Department of Health also said that he will create the best conditions to rescue 3 people and provide support of 5 million VND per case to families with victims.
Previously, at about 1:30 pm on April 3, a forest fire occurred in the forest area of residential group 1, Na Sang commune.
During the fire fighting process, 4 people were injured; of which 3 seriously injured people were transferred to the Provincial General Hospital for treatment; 1 patient with minor burns is being treated at Na Sang Medical Center.
The identities of the 3 patients with severe burns are all residing in residential group 1, Na Sang commune, including:
Lo Van N (born 1973) suffered degree 2 - 3 burns with an area of about 90% of his body, degree 4 burns to both legs.
Lu Van T (born 1983) suffered 2nd - 3rd degree burns, the area of damage is about 95% of his body.
Lo Van B (born 2001) suffered 2nd - 3rd degree burns, the area of damage is about 95% of his body.
