The patient was G.T.S.M (female, 9 years old, residing in Quang Hanh ward, Quang Ninh province), admitted to the hospital with mild difficulty breathing, prolonged bleeding of the left nose of unknown cause.
Through examination and endoscopy, doctors at the ENT Clinic discovered a child about 4cm long, residing deep in the left nasal cavity, clinging to the mucous membranes, causing damage and bleeding.
According to the family, the child is currently living with grandparents in Dien Bien province, where they have a habit of bathing in the stream. There is a high possibility of foreign objects entering the child's nose when he comes into contact with natural water without knowing it.

The team of specialists in the ENT performed endoscopic procedures to remove foreign objects. The intervention was safe and had no complications. After the procedure, the patient was stable and no longer bleeding from his nose.
Doctors recommend that leprosy and parasitic creatures can enter the body through the nose, ears, mouth... causing serious damage, even endangering life if not detected and treated promptly.
Be vigilant with symptoms such as prolonged bleeding, shortness of breath, cough of unknown cause; at the same time, limit children from bathing in streams and using untreated natural water.
