Hanoi advances 700 billion VND from the remaining salary reform fund to implement site clearance for the Linh Nam road expansion project.

The project to upgrade and expand Linh Nam road is more than 3km long, belonging to 4 wards of Mai Dong, Vinh Hung, Linh Nam, Tran Phu (old Hoang Mai district).

The starting point of the project is at the intersection with Tam Trinh Street, the end point is at Nguyen Khoi dyke intersection, the cross-section is expanded to 30-40m.

After operating the 2-level government model from July 1, the project was transferred to Vinh Hung Ward People's Committee to take over as the investor.

The project has a total investment of VND 2,493 billion, with a total land area recovered to implement the project of 98,345.92 m2, involving 829 households and 19 organizations.

Recently, the Hanoi People's Committee has sent a document to the Hanoi People's Council in response to voters' recommendations, including the content of the progress of the Linh Nam road construction investment project.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, during the project implementation, Hoang Mai District has reviewed 837 technical records of land plots; issued a Decision approving plans for 24 households, individuals and 7 organizations with an approved amount of more than 35 billion VND.

For the remaining households, the working groups of the wards' site clearance have invited households to collect documents. To date, localities have collected 552/837 records, while the remaining 285 records have not been collected. The local government has announced the land reclamation of 174/552 households.

On August 19, 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a decision approving the adjustment of the time to upgrade and expand Linh Nam road according to the plan.

On August 29, 2024, the City People's Committee agreed to let the Hoang Mai District People's Committee terminate the contract with the Mining - Geology Design Survey Consulting Joint Stock Company; at the same time, request the investor to carry out procedures for terminating the contract according to regulations.

The Hoang Mai District Land Fund Development Center (old) has notified the consulting unit about the termination and liquidation of the contract, and at the same time completed the procedures for selecting a measurement unit and creating a map of site clearance to carry out the remaining workload.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, the City People's Council has allowed the use of 700 billion VND from the surplus salary reform fund to advance the implementation of project site clearance.

It is expected that the project to upgrade and expand Linh Nam road will be completed in 2027. The completion of the project is of special significance in connecting the central area of Hanoi with Ring Road 3, while reducing traffic pressure on streets such as Tam Trinh, Minh Khai and Kim Ngu.
