On July 16, according to information from the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health, along with upgrading Gia Lai General Hospital, the unit will allocate resources to the investment program to develop the grassroots health network in disadvantaged areas.
Previously, the old Gia Lai province had a plan to build medical stations and install equipment with a total investment of more than 107 billion VND.
Currently, in many remote communes such as Ia O, Ia Dom, Son Lang, Kong Bo La, Ia Sao, Cho Long, Ia Tul..., health stations are deteriorating, medical staff working in remote areas are facing many difficulties.
According to the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health, the allocation of investment funds for grassroots health care is to improve capacity, ensure adequate provision of primary health care, medical examination and treatment services for local people.
Improving the quality of grassroots health care also contributes to reducing the burden on upper-level hospitals. In addition, the health sector is also planning to invest 44 billion VND in the project to upgrade and renovate the block of houses in Zone B and Zone C of Gia Lai General Hospital in Pleiku ward.
The goal is to build a modern Gia Lai General Hospital with spacious facilities; develop medical services in an in-depth direction, to create opportunities for people to access high-quality medical services.
The Gia Lai Provincial Health Department strives to have 100% of commune health stations with doctors by 2025. The ratio of doctors/10,000 people will reach 9 doctors by 2025, 10 doctors/10,000 people by 2030. The rate of nurses per 10,000 people will reach 22 in 2025 and 25 in 2030.
