Be careful with Tadalafil
Recently, Phu Tho Provincial Police have dismantled a transnational multi-level business ring with 200,000 members, of which 107,348 are Vietnamese.
According to the initial investigation results, Bitney Vietnam Investment Trading Company Limited (abbreviated as Bitney Company) in Ward 11, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City sells foods such as: Multi Juice mixed fruit juice; Lucenta slices; Bitney Multi Cream ice cream inflates in price dozens of times higher than imported prices.
Notably, Bitney Multi Juice product contains Tadalafil - a banned substance in food production, which is only used when prescribed by a doctor.

Previously, in early April 2025, the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) also discovered Tadalafil in 5 product samples, which is a health protection food Man Plus Gold of Bao Ngoc International Pharmaceutical Company Limited (address in Yen So ward, Hoang Mai district, Hanoi).
The shipment of Land Spinach inspected by the Food Safety Department was also found to contain Tadalafil.
The health agency recommends that Tadalafil and Sildenafil (also discovered) are two pharmaceutical substances used to treat erectile dysfunction but are banned from being used in health protection products because they have many dangerous side effects on the cardiovascular system.
Using Tadalafil incorrectly will cause cardiovascular complications for users, including myocardial infarction, angina, and even sudden death.

Committing to cartilage for using foods containing Tadalafil
As Lao Dong reported, in April 2024, the Poison Control Center (Bach Mai Hospital) treated a 51-year-old male patient in Hanoi who was hospitalized for ginseng poisoning for "a long time in love". This man showed symptoms of severe pain in the thighs on both sides, red heat and fluid in the penis.
Exploiting his medical history, 2 days before being hospitalized, this man took a "Hamer ginseng ngan & Coffee" capsule to increase his enjoyment. Test results of the candy used by the patient showed that this candy contained Tadalafil.

The Poison Control Center has previously treated a 72-year-old patient who suffered from poisoning after drinking a packaged fruit juice to enhance physiology, and this type also contains Tadalafil.
According to Dr. Nguyen Trung Nguyen - Director of the Poison Control Center, Bach Mai Hospital, candy, tea, and fruit juices sold as functional foods with advertisements to increase men's vitality are clearly not drugs but contain drugs, and are very susceptible to poisoning when eaten.
"cyber market" becomes a black market for smuggling goods containing banned substances
Returning to Multi Juice, it is also a mixed fruit juice containing Tadalafil, "disguised" as a health protection food, labeled "pharmic", "origin", "from abroad"... introduced as a treatment aid for many different diseases, in which the effect of enhancing physiology is similar to the two types of candy and packaged fruit juice mentioned above.

Along with that, Multi Juice has been promoted by many self-proclaimed pharmacists/doctors/health experts, exaggerating its uses on social networks, making it difficult for ordinary consumers to distinguish between real and fake.
Previously, the reporter noted that this type of food containing banned substances is widely sold on websites, e-commerce platforms, and social networks, just like a popular consumer product.

Although up to now, "stores" containing Multi Juice and Bitney Company's products on the " net market" have been removed, it is still too late, because at the time of collapse, the authorities determined that this multi-level line had "grown up", selling millions of products, illegally profiting thousands of billions of VND.
That shows that the control of food items needs to be tightened, the digital business environment needs to be managed more closely, avoiding "cyber market" becoming a black market for food containing banned substances on the market, bringing health risks to people.
