On the morning of June 23, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee with departments, ministries, branches, and central agencies on preparations to organize the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The Prime Minister said that the Exhibition is a large-scale activity, rich in content; it is a big task, a difficult task, unprecedented, with short preparation time and high requirements.
The Prime Minister requested all ministries, branches and localities to participate with the highest spirit and responsibility so that the Exhibition can be organized to ensure coverage, comprehensiveness, comprehensiveness, objectivity, honesty, feasibility and efficiency.
In terms of goal, the Exhibition must depict the process of protecting and building the country in 80 years; arouse pride in the heroic historical tradition, create motivation, inspire the nation, for the country to prepare to enter a new era, an era of rising to development, richness, civilization, and prosperity. At the same time, it is necessary to introduce to international friends the country's 50-year achievements.
Requesting research to place the theme of the Exhibition as "The 50-year journey of Independence - freedom - Happiness", the Prime Minister emphasized that it is necessary to mobilize the combined strength of the whole country, of people and businesses to organize.
Combine exhibition and display activities of national and ethnic achievements with other cultural, artistic, recreational and entertainment activities.
Mobilize documents, supplies, objects, and characters to the maximum; maximize the self-reliance, self-reliance, proactiveness, and creativity of related entities.
The Prime Minister assigned Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh to continue directly directing, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the standing agency of the Steering Committee assigned to prepare for the Exhibition.
There is a special, special, special mechanism to prepare and organize the Exhibition, must be determined, must make great efforts, must act decisively, "turning non-fulfillment into something, turning difficult into easy, turning impossible into possible", ensuring the set requirements and goals.
Expected to take place from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center, Co Loa, Dong Anh, Hanoi, the Exhibition will display and introduce socio-economic achievements in 80 years of building, protecting and developing the country; along with that, there will be auxiliary activities such as: Fairs, food stalls, tourism, handicrafts; art programs; bilateral contact activities, conferences, seminars.
