Here is a guide to teeth whitening with activated charcoal shared by Ayurveda expert Dimple Jangda.
- Wet the toothbrush
Wet your toothbrush with water. This helps the activated charcoal powder adhere better to the bristles.
- Dip in charcoal powder
Next, dip the toothbrush into the activated charcoal powder so that the bristles are evenly coated with the activated charcoal powder.
- Brush gently
Brush your teeth gently for about 2 minutes. However, do not use too much force because excessive rubbing can lead to tooth enamel wear.
- Clean
After brushing, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water to remove any remaining charcoal particles.
Note: Activated charcoal should only be used to whiten teeth once or twice a week to avoid damaging tooth enamel.
