Deviation in composition and advertising information
KERA vegetable candy - once promoted by Quang Linh Vlogs and Hang Du Nomerions - are entangled with a series of allegations related to false advertising and fraud.
In livestreams, the product is introduced as "each candy is equivalent to a vegetable plate", emphasizing high fiber content.
Last week, the Police Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security (C01) said that the verification results showed that the ingredients of vegetable powder in the product only accounted for 0.61 to 0.75%, instead of 28% as published. Not only that, this vegetable powder is not purchased from VietGAP farms such as advertising, but from non -quality supply.
Notably, the product contains up to 33.4g/100g of sorbitol - a sweetener has a laxative effect - but not on the label, violating the food labeling regulations. It is Sorbitol, not vegetables that create a laxative effect as promoting.
The Department of Radio, Television and Websites has punished Quang Linh Vlogs and Hang Du nominations 70 million VND for false advertising, and forced to reform information.
Product circulation status
Up to now, more than 135,000 boxes of candy have been consumed to the market, with more than 30,000 customers, bringing revenue of over 17 billion VND to the company.
Currently, according to the Government's Decree No. 15/2018/ND -CP of February 2, 2018 - Detailed guidance on the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Food Safety, Food Management has had many noticeable changes.
Instead of the previous check -up mechanism (that is, the product must be checked by the authorities before circulation), currently, businesses only need to register the announcement or self -publication, depending on the type of product.
Register for publications applied to product groups such as: Health protection food; Medical nutrition food; Food for special diet
Self-declaration applies to: Supplementary foods; Regular foods.
After receiving the dossier, the local agency will be responsible for managing and at the same time strengthening the post -inspection work in order to detect and promptly handle violations if any.
According to the provisions of Decree 15, Kera vegetable candy belongs to the supplementary food group, not in the group of specialized inspection products. Therefore, businesses only need to prepare the application and submit it to the public administrative system to confirm.
Product quality inspection will be conducted after circulation, according to the post -inspection mechanism. If the authorities detect cheating in the composition, label or product quality, they will handle violations.
The above provisions help simplify administrative procedures and create favorable conditions for businesses. However, it also has the potential to get poor quality products to the market before being discovered.
The Ministry of Health is in charge of drafting the draft Decree amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP, detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Food Safety (draft amendments to Decree 15).
The new draft tightened control with organizations and individuals announcing functional food products, requiring additional explanation of formula and re -announced when there was an important change (in the announcement unit, place of production, origin, name and component). Although it is still allowed to produce and traded immediately after self-publication as prescribed in Decree 15/2018/ND-CP, the appointed agency must post the dossier for 7 days and review for 3 months to ensure accuracy and in accordance with regulations.
