On March 17, Dr. Nguyen Trong Dien - Director of Hanoi Department of Health - signed Decision No. 1101/QD-SYT awarding certificates of merit to Dr. Nguyen Huy Tien (Department of Artificial Kidney, Hanoi Kidney Hospital) for his unexpected achievement of saving a patient in an emergency situation.

The commendation issued just one day after the incident shows the rapid involvement of the leaders of the Capital's Health sector in recognizing and honoring beautiful and humane actions.

According to Director of Hanoi Department of Health Nguyen Trong Dien, this is a sudden, timely and accurate action, clearly showing the spirit of responsibility, medical ethics and professional bravery of a doctor. This gesture contributes to strongly spreading the message: "Doctors not only work in hospitals but are always ready to save people anywhere, anytime, saving people without waiting for conditions.

Previously, at about 7 am on March 16, on a business trip, doctor Nguyen Huy Tien discovered a young man in a traffic accident in alley 100, Nguyen Chi Thanh street (Hanoi), falling into a state of circulatory arrest, critical.

Without hesitation, the doctor immediately performed an external chest compression and performed initial emergency measures right at the scene. Thanks to a quick, accurate and professional response, the victim's circulation recovered and gradually woke up.

After that, the doctor continued to coordinate to call emergency 115, transferring the patient to a medical facility for monitoring and in-depth treatment. The doctor's timely action contributed to saving the patient's life in a moment of life and death.
