According to the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health), DK-Betics Gold health protection food product announced by Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company is being advertised on the website with content showing signs of making consumers understand the product as medicine.
Notably, the product is introduced as a diabetes treatment support preparation, while the advertising content is considered inconsistent with the issued advertising content confirmation. Functional agencies also recorded the use of doctor images in product advertising.
DK-Betics Gold was granted a certificate of receipt of registration of product announcement in 2020 by the Food Safety Department and a certificate of advertising content in October 2020.
Not only products related to diabetes, the Food Safety Department also received feedback about Non Alco anti-Alcohol tablets advertised on the website vitath.vn.
Non Alco announced by Vitath Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, was granted a certificate of receipt of product declaration registration in June 2024. However, according to the Food Safety Department, this product has not been granted a certificate of advertising content confirmation.
According to regulations, health protection foods must register advertising content with competent authorities before advertising.
The Food Safety Department also noted the situation of using images of doctors, pharmacists and medical staff to advertise food in a direction that may cause consumers to misunderstand the product's uses. Current regulations do not allow the use of images, names, clothing, and letters from medical facilities or medical staff to advertise food.
Faced with the above signs, the Food Safety Department has requested the Hanoi Department of Health to urgently verify and inspect the production, business and advertising activities of DK-Betics Gold and Non Alco.
If violations are detected, functional agencies are required to handle them according to regulations and report the results to the Food Safety Department.
