On December 29, leaders of Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health said that the Disciplinary Council of Gia Lai Central General Hospital had met and agreed on the form of disciplinary warning for doctor Cao Minh Trung, for allowing violations to occur during examination and treatment for patients.
According to reports, on December 22, a patient came to the hospital for examination but was not issued a certificate of examination according to the procedure. The patient was then guided to a clinic in charge of Dr. Cao Minh Trung.
Here, after initial examination, Dr. Trung introduced the patient to Thanh Long General Clinic (address 287 Nguyen Hue, Quy Nhon ward) to perform some tests, on the grounds that the hospital did not have suitable equipment.
After performing the service at a private facility and returning to the hospital, the patient was analyzed by the doctor, prescribed medicine and continued to be introduced to buy medicine at a private pharmacy near the hospital gate.
Patients reflect that this situation is not the first time it has happened and suspect that there is a "connection" between doctors and clinics and pharmacies outside, causing public outrage.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, leaders of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health affirmed that the application of the disciplinary form of warning is appropriate, for the right person, and to the right extent of violation. At the same time, strict handling is aimed at deterring and preventing similar acts, ensuring a transparent and regulated medical examination and treatment environment.
