According to the content of the clip appearing on Facebook, the family informed that the 3-year-old child had a fever and was taken to TTH Ha Tinh General Hospital for treatment. When he came for treatment, the child still ate normally, however, later the situation worsened and became severe, the family reported to the doctor that the child could not sleep and was instructed to use sleeping pills.
The content of the clip also shows that the family is upset and believes that there was irresponsibility of the doctor in the process of treating the baby, leading to death.
Regarding the incident, on April 19, TTH Ha Tinh General Hospital informed: Patient N.T. K (3 years old, male gender, residing in Ky Anh commune) was brought by his family for treatment at the Department of Pediatrics of the hospital from the evening of April 13.
After that, the child was examined, monitored and treated by doctors according to professional instructions. By the evening of April 15, the patient showed abnormal developments and quickly became severe.
As soon as the critical condition was recorded, the hospital urgently mobilized personnel, coordinated inter-specialty and implemented active resuscitation measures. However, despite making maximum efforts, the patient still did not survive.
After the incident, the hospital's Board of Directors and related departments directly visited and expressed condolences to the family; and at the same time established a professional council to review and clarify the entire treatment and emergency process.
The hospital has worked directly with the family to listen to and fully exchange relevant contents based on medical records and objective professional assessments.
Through professional review, the patient was recorded to have developments consistent with acute intracranial events, tending to be cerebral hemorrhage related to ruptured cerebral vascular malformations. This is a pathological condition that can develop suddenly, with a high risk of death," according to Ha Tinh General Hospital.
Also according to Ha Tinh General Hospital, to date, the relevant contents have been fully discussed by the hospital and the family.
Currently, the patient's family has also removed the previous video posted on social networks and hopes that the websites sharing videos that the family has posted will remove them so that the family can ease their grief.
