On July 9, Mr. Lam Thai Hung - Deputy Director in charge of Buon Ma Thuot General Hospital - said that the unit has issued a decision to discipline Ms. T.T. M. N, specialist doctor I in Obstetrics and Gynecology, in the form of a warning.
According to the decision, Ms. N was disciplined for violating the code of conduct and regulations on medical ethics of the health sector in the process of performing her duties.
According to research, at the beginning of this year, the hospital received a complaint from the family of a pregnant woman, accusing Ms. N of "extorting" money when the patient gave birth. Although the complainant later withdrew the complaint, the hospital still proceeded to verify and handle it according to regulations.
The hospital has requested Dr. N to make a report, and at the same time, based on the verification results and current regulations to handle it. The unit has also reminded all officials and employees that if similar cases occur, they will be handled very strictly.
After being disciplined, Ms. N no longer worked at the Obstetrics Department but was transferred to the General Planning Department of Buon Ma Thuot General Hospital.
