No cosmetic testing results of Mailisa beauty salon
The authorities are investigating unusual signs in the business activities and origin of cosmetics of Mailisa beauty salon.
According to the initial investigation, in the period of 2020-2024, Ms. Phan Thi Mai and Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh bought a large quantity of cheap, poor quality cosmetics produced in Guangzhou (China) to sell through the Mailisa beauty salon chain. Because these products are not eligible for a Certificate of Free Cir circulation (CFS) in China, they are accused of colluding with a number of Chinese people to forge contracts, change their origin from "guangzhou" to "Hong Kong" (China) to apply for a Certificate of Free Circulation (CFS) and then smugally import it to Vietnam.

After bringing the goods back, the Mailisa management group advertised heavily, taking advantage of the brand and beauty salon system to sell at prices many times higher than imported prices.
According to the plan, the Department of Health of localities, the Central Institute for Drug Testing and the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Drug Testing will sample, test and monitor the quality of cosmetics with the labels "DOCTOR MAGIC", "MAIKA BEAUTY", "MK" of MK Skincare Import-Export Production and Trading Service Company Limited. Units must organize the collection of cosmetic samples for circulation in the area, prioritizing high-risk groups such as skin whitening products, sunscreen and cosmetics for pregnant women or children.
The two Testing Institute are required to collect samples nationwide, especially in large cities, wholesale stores and e-commerce platforms; at the same time, provide professional support to local testing centers when detecting samples suspected of containing banned substances, exceeding the limit or requiring in-depth analysis.
Currently, the test results are still waiting for the authorities to announce. Dr. Ta Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Drug Administration (Ministry of Health) said: The Department is summarizing the results from the units that have responded. The final results will be provided soon. While waiting for testing results, people and businesses should be cautious when using or distributing cosmetic products announced by MK Skincare Import-Export Production and Trading Services Company Limited.

Not to mention, the cream also contains ingredients that are prohibited for use on the face.
