On January 9, the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi announced that it had just received a patient who had a 1.2 meter long iron bar pierced through the chin and neck.
Early the same morning, patient C.D.B (born in 2007, in Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province) was taken to the hospital with an iron bar about 1.2m long piercing through his chin and neck.
After being admitted, the patient was taken into surgery. By the morning of the same day, the surgery was successful.
The patient is currently having a tracheostomy and is being monitored and cared for at the hospital's Dentistry Department.
