According to Dr. Tran Thien Khiem - Department of Neurosurgery, Cho Ray Hospital, currently female patient N.T. T (born in 1999) is still in a coma, breathing through the endotracheal tube, Glasgow score of about 10/15, not weak or paralyzed limbs... can continue resuscitation.
It is still early to predict the condition of this patient, because for cases of traumatic brain injury, brain contusion on both sides, it is difficult to predict for a long time. The current condition shows that the patient is stable, under control," Dr. Khiem said.
Previously, at about 3 am on September 21, the patient was taken to Cho Ray Hospital and an emergency CT scan was performed. Thereby diagnosed blood clots, bleeding and brain contusion... This is a serious and dangerous injury, and the amount of blood clots is at risk of compressing the brain, so the hospital urgently performed emergency surgery, conservative treatment... After that, the patient was treated with resuscitation, anti-cerebral edema, and monitored for brain contusion...
Another patient in the car crash in Vung Tau is N.D. H (born in 2006) who was hospitalized for treatment of multiple injuries including ruptured spleen degree 4, abdominal bleeding, broken rib No. 11 on the left side.
According to Dr. Vo Minh Dat - Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, Cho Ray Hospital, after being actively treated, patient H's condition has stabilized, and is expected to be discharged on September 24.
Previously, at about 9:30 pm on September 20, N.D. H was driving a motorbike with license plate 72C1-44x. xx carrying N.T. T (her biological sister) traveling on Truong Cong Dinh street, in the direction of Le Hong Phong to Hoang Hoa Tham. When arriving in the area in front of house number 307 Truong Cong Dinh street, Vung Tau ward (HCMC), it was suddenly hit from behind by a car 72A-78x. x7 driven by N.T. T (born in 2002) traveling in the same direction.
The accident left both motorcyclists seriously injured, but the car did not stop but continued to move away from the scene. Both victims were supported by people to be taken to Vung Tau General Hospital for emergency treatment, and then transferred to Cho Ray Hospital for further treatment.
On September 21, functional agencies tracked down the driver and the car involved in the accident; and at the same time organized an examination and reconstructed the scene to conduct investigation and handling according to regulations.
