In the afternoon of September 23, the flow carrying red sand from the hillside area along the road overflowed into Nguyen Thong street, Phu Thuy ward, Lam Dong province.
The water flows strongly across the road in front of 300 Nguyen Thong area. This is one of the gateways leading to Mui Ne tourist area.
Red sand follows the water flow down to the road surface, forming a thick layer of sand, making the road surface slippery and subsided. Some motorbikes passing through this area fell.
Functional forces of Phu Thuy ward quickly arrived at the scene, placed warnings and supported motorcyclists passing through the area with water and sand overflowing.
After the water stopped flowing, functional forces mobilized excavators and manpower to collect the layer of sand on the road surface, ensuring safety for vehicles to circulate.
This is not the first time this area has experienced water sweeping along with red sand overflowing into the road. In September 2024, the above situation appeared many times at this location.
After that, the locality placed drainage culverts and constructed items to handle the above situation. However, to date, the water flow with red sand continues to recur when there is heavy rain.
