Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. N.D. H (born in 2006, a victim in the accident) said that after being thrown away by the car, the family took the two sisters to Cho Ray Hospital for treatment.
I was diagnosed by doctors with pulmonary contusion, spleen contusion, and abdominal bleeding. Although I had surgery, my health condition is not yet stable," Mr. H said.
According to Mr. H, Ms. N.T. T (born in 1999, her biological sister) is still being monitored and treated in the ICU room, her health condition was predicted by doctors to be bad. Previously, Ms. T was diagnosed with severe head trauma such as: subdural hematoma of the 2 hemispheres; subaracnoid hemorrhage scattered on both sides; brain contusion, right temporal lobe hemorrhage; skull fracture; swollen soft tissue of the right temporal lobe... Although surgery has been performed, it is still progressing badly.
Notably, the families of the victims are in very difficult circumstances, when their father died early; the older sister had to drop out of school to work to help the family and raise her younger brother to study. However, the family of the accident perpetrator has not yet visited the victim's family.
Currently, my sister and I are being supported in care and treatment by relatives. And since the accident happened, no one has come to visit," Mr. H said.
Previously, at about 9:30 pm on September 20, in front of house number 307 Truong Cong Dinh street, Vung Tau ward (HCMC), a traffic accident occurred between a motorbike and a car, causing 2 people to be seriously injured. At this time, a motorbike with license plate 72C1-44x. xx driven by N.D. H, carrying N.T. T, was traveling in the direction from Le Hong Phong to Hoang Hoa Tham, when it reached the above area, it was suddenly thrown from behind by a car 72A-78x. x7 driven by N.T. T (born in 2002) traveling in the same direction.
The accident left both motorcyclists seriously injured, but the car did not stop but continued to move away from the scene. The victim was quickly supported by people to be taken to Vung Tau General Hospital for emergency treatment, and then transferred to Cho Ray Hospital for further treatment.
Currently, the Professional Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, the Southern Saigon Traffic Police Team, and the Vung Tau Ward Police have coordinated to verify and invite the driver of the car that caused the accident to the headquarters to work. At the same time, they organized an examination and reconstructed the scene to conduct investigation and handling.
