Before it was clear, at An Sen beach (Dong Son commune, Quang Ngai province), many people from many localities came to bury themselves in the sea sand.
They dug deep sand holes and lay there by themselves. Some people have maintained this method for more than ten years, because they believe that in addition to relaxation, burying themselves in sand also helps relieve joint pain.

Many people only left their head on the sand and lay there. This is how they relax and heal bones and joints. However, anyone who accidentally encounters this scene for the first time will be surprised.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tien (67 years old) said that he and his group of friends often go to An Sen beach to swim in the morning. Before bathing, the group dug a hole together and buried themselves in the sand.
"dao into a hole about 40cm deep, then lie down and cover with sand, leaving only the head. This method helps me feel very relaxed, Mr. Tien shared.
Ms. Hong Thi Ha (75 years old, residing in Binh Son commune) has maintained the habit of burying herself in the sand for the past 10 years. Because of her old age, she often wakes up very early, around 4:30 am she is at the sea to dig a hole and bury herself in the sand. After finishing, she lay still, relaxing her body to relax.
About 30-40 minutes later, Mrs. Ha went to the beach to swim. She said that burying herself in sand combined with swimming in the sea in the early morning helped her reduce bone and joint pain.
"Biding in the sand and swimming in the sea makes me feel very refreshed. More importantly, my bone and joint diseases have improved significantly, and my limbs are no longer as painful as before, Ms. Ha shared.

Mr. Ha The Phong - Chairman of the Quang Ngai Province orientation medicine Association - commented that burying yourself in sand and swimming in the sea in the morning helps relax the spirit, which is beneficial for health.
Regarding the healing effect, Mr. Phong said that sand applying can contribute to improving bone and joint pain, but the effectiveness is not really clear.
"Sand is like mud. It helps the body massage and relax. The minerals in sea sand have the effect of helping to improve bone and joint diseases, said Mr. Phong.
