On August 16, Mr. Dao Xuan Thuy - Director of Chu Mom Ray National Park, Quang Ngai province - said that through records from the camera trap system ( Automatic cameras installed in the forest) discovered many types of wild turkeys and wild turkeys living in the forest environment of the unit.
According to Mr. Thuy, Chu Mom Ray National Park has many types such as red cash chickens, white-throated fowl chickens, yellow cash chickens, striped fowl chickens, and goose chest chickens belonging to group IB (an extremely rare group. The camera trap system also detected wild chickens and pink-throated reptiles (Group IIB).
"The location where the rare chickens were discovered was in deep forest areas, strictly protected. Images of the streets of the chickens have been recorded, and the garden has gathered to serve the zoning and conservation, said Mr. Thuy.
Chu Mom Ray National Park covers an area of over 56,000 hectares. Through investigation, this place has 950 species of animals and 1,895 species of plants. In 2004, Chu Mom Ray National Park was recognized by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations as an ASEAN Heritage Park.
