On July 5, information from Hai Phong Children's Hospital, during a school health check-up program at Nguyen Du Elementary School (Kien An ward), doctors at Hai Phong Children's Hospital discovered that baby B.A.D had a foreign object made of child's clay deep in the left ear canal. Because there were no obvious symptoms, students and families could not detect it.
Immediately after the examination, the student was issued a priority ticket to come to Hai Phong Children's Hospital for treatment. The foreign object was safely and promptly removed, helping to prevent complications such as ear infection, damage to the ear canal, eardrum perforation and affecting hearing.
Hai Phong Children's Hospital recommends that parents do not let children play or bring small objects such as clay, beads, and small toys into the ears and nose. When suspecting foreign objects, do not take them at home but take children to a medical facility for safe treatment.
