The Department of Infectious Resuscitation - Institute of Clinical Medicine for Infectious Diseases (108 Central Military Hospital) received a female patient born in 1948 who was diagnosed and monitored for streptococcal entertainment. The patient was transferred from a lower level in a state of impaired consciousness, threatening respiratory failure. The results of the brain and chest X-ray showed many optic obstructions in the brain's tissue and under the skin of the chest - abdomen.
Doctors noted many small lumps under the skin in the patient's chest and arms, which could be touched with the hands. Although testing for IgM antibodies with pork line worms gave a negative result, X-rays showed that the patient had been infected with pig-stained arms disease, the lumpy capillaries had leaked and existed for a long time in the body. After a period of treatment, the patient responded well and was discharged for further monitoring.
MSc. Dr. Nguyen Sy Thau, Department of Infectious Resuscitation, 108 Central Military Hospital, said: Pork won (Taenia solium) is a dangerous parasite that can live for many years in the human intestines. Adults are 2-7 meters long, including thousands of consecutive bites, eggs or bites through feces. When the frog eggs are released, they can survive for many months in the environment. If the pigs are eaten properly, the larvae will develop into small lumps in the muscles, forming "rice grains" that are easily seen in infected pork.
People are infected when eating undercooked pork or raw vegetables with hard-boiled eggs. After entering the body, the passages can move to the muscles, brain or eyes, causing serious symptoms such as seizures, neurological disorders, headaches, reduced vision... In many cases, the patient's capillaries can spontaneously degenerate or leak, leaving optic barrier nodules on the film as in the case of the patient mentioned above.
To prevent swine fever, people need to eat cooked, drink cooked, and wash their hands before eating, especially when processing meat. Pork relatives will be destroyed when they are boiled for at least 2 minutes. People at high risk or with suspicious symptoms should go to a medical facility for early examination. In addition, people infected with adult enteritis need to be thoroughly treated and properly managed to avoid spreading in the community.
