On September 9, Children's Hospital 1 held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the hospital's establishment and receive the title of Labor Hero for the 2nd time.
At the ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee said that starting from 1956 with only 268 beds, after 70 years of construction, constant innovation and development, Children's Hospital 1 has become a leading specialized pediatric hospital, playing an important role in the health system of Ho Chi Minh City, the Southern region and the whole country.
Ho Chi Minh City is striving to build a modern, high-quality, multi-layered, multi-polar, multi-center health system, strengthen coverage capacity and improve access to health services for people throughout the area, aiming to build the city into a high-quality healthcare center of the ASEAN region; developing rapidly and sustainably, putting people at the center, taking the quality of life and happiness of the people as a measure of development efficiency.
Mr. Le Quoc Phong wished Children's Hospital 1 to continue to strongly innovate, strongly develop specialized medicine, build and elevate key specialized centers; proactively research, receive and master advanced medical techniques, step by step approach international standards so that pediatric patients with severe and difficult diseases have more opportunities to be treated right in the city, limiting the need to transfer tuyến, transfer to distant hospitals.
