HCMC - The severe heat in the South has caused many people to get drunk while worshiping the Buddha's grace at Thanh Tam pagoda on the occasion of Vesak 2025.

During the 2 days of opening the gate for people to worship and worship the benefactor of Buddha Shakyamuni at Thanh Tam pagoda on the occasion of the Vesak 2025 holiday, the 115 Emergency Center and hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City have treated more than 270 cases, many of whom have been transferred to the hospital.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that at the waiting rooms, with a large concentration of people, people waited in long lines in hot weather. This causes a high risk of heat stroke, which can dangerously affect people's health.

According to the Southern and Central Highlands Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting Station, the weather will be mainly sunny at noon and early afternoon; showers and thunderstorms may appear in the evening. The highest temperature is generally 30-34 degrees Celsius, with peak hot weather from 12-16am. When going out, you should wear light-colored clothes, a wide-brimmed hat, and cool glasses.

The city's health sector has synchronously deployed plans to ensure health care in the Thanh Tam pagoda area. Arrange more than 50 doctors and nurses in the morning and more than 30 people in the evening to be on duty on the spot from 5 - 11pm every day.

At the same time, arrange a regular medical team, especially equipped with anti-drowning cooling equipment ready to handle emergency situations on the spot. Hospitals near Thanh Tam pagoda are ready to provide professional support to the crews on duty at the pagoda and receive serious cases.

To ensure health when participating in worship, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health recommends that people bring hats, sun umbrellas, drinking water, and snacks. People with chronic diseases need to take medicine according to the correct instructions.

People should not jostle or push when participating in the ceremony to avoid falling or injuring themselves. If you feel tired or dizzy, you should immediately report to your companion, find a cool place to rest and contact the nearest volunteer or medical tent for timely support.
