Easy mistakes to make when applying a protein-rich diet

A protein-rich diet brings many benefits, but mistakes such as drinking water deficient, lack of fiber and vegetables can cause body fatigue and digestive disorders.

A protein-rich diet is increasingly chosen by many people to control weight and improve health. However, if applied incorrectly, this diet can cause many problems such as fatigue, constipation or digestive discomfort.

Protein plays an essential role in maintaining immunity and muscle development. However, when increasing protein intake without adjusting accompanying factors such as water, fiber and potassium-rich foods, the body is prone to imbalance.

Drinking not enough water

One of the common mistakes is not drinking enough water. High protein levels cause the body to produce more waste, and the kidneys have to work hard to excrete it. If dehydrated, eaters are prone to headaches, fatigue, dark urine, or constipation.

Cut down on fiber

Some people cut down on fiber when replacing meals with protein powder. Lack of vegetables, fruits and whole grains makes the digestive system work less efficiently, increasing the risk of digestive disorders.

Cut down on fruits and vegetables

Limiting fruits and green vegetables also causes the body to lack potassium, a mineral that helps balance acid and support muscle and cardiovascular function. This deficiency can cause bloating, cramps and increase pressure on the kidneys.

A protein-rich diet is only truly effective when combined with adequate water, fiber and potassium-rich foods. Maintaining a balanced diet is key to protecting long-term health.
