Regarding information about some students of Binh Quoi Tay Elementary School being hospitalized, on the afternoon of April 9, Gia Dinh People's Hospital said that from April 8 to 12:00 on April 9, the unit received 22 cases of children hospitalized due to digestive disorders, aged 6 to 10 years old.
The main symptoms of the children are fever, abdominal pain and digestive disorders. Currently, the children are being resuscitated, replenished with fluids and electrolytes. In addition, 5 cases have stabilized and are being guided for outpatient treatment.
According to Ms. Diep Thi Ngoc Tien - Principal of Binh Quoi Tay Primary School, from today (April 9), the school will temporarily suspend semi-boarding meals to carry out cleaning and disinfecting the entire school grounds. The reorganization of semi-boarding will be implemented when there is an official conclusion from functional agencies. Binh Quoi Tay Primary School has more than 900 students, about 700 students registered for semi-boarding meals.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, Ms. Pham Khanh Phong Lan - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety said that Binh Quoi Ward Health Station and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety are coordinating to handle the case. 41/906 students of the school showed symptoms of digestive disorders and have gone for examination.
