From February 14-22, 2026, Cho Ray Hospital will receive an average of 273 emergency patients per day, ranging from 200 to 360 visits, an increase of 3.4% compared to Tet At Ty 2025.
Notably, the number of traffic accidents reached 429 cases. Domestic accidents increased the most, with 171 cases, an average of 19 cases/day, an increase of 108.5%.
The total number of emergency surgeries performed throughout the hospital in 9 days was 325 cases, down 10.2% compared to the same period last year. Surgery activities are carried out throughout Tet to ensure timely treatment of severe cases.
Representatives of Cho Ray Hospital also added that in the inpatient treatment block, the whole hospital still has 1,568 patients being treated, an increase of 24.4% compared to the same period last year. Many departments recorded bed occupancy exceeding 100%, showing that treatment pressure has not decreased in the first days of the year.
Notably, the amount of blood used in 9 days reached 897 units, an increase of 7.9% compared to Tet 2025, reflecting a high demand for emergency, surgery and resuscitation.
These figures show that while many families gather to welcome spring, the team of doctors and nurses at Cho Ray Hospital is still working continuously to ensure that emergency and treatment work is maintained smoothly and promptly rescues patients during the peak days of Tet.
